DECOKING

M-2 Tool

The M-2 tool is used to clean coke build-up on top of and down through the shed trays of a coker. It has a telescopic reach of 27 ft. and uses up to 1200 hp at 10,000 psi with a flow rate of up to 200 gal/min. The nozzle end and boom are capable of fitting through a 24-in. manway.

M-3 Tool

CEDA's M-3 tool specializes in cleaning large coke build up around dip legs up to the anticoking baffle. It has a reach of 53 ft., using 1200 hp at 10,000 psi with a flow rate of 200 gal/min. The weight of the tool is 14,600 lb., which requires 600-v power and is hydraulically operated by a remote control panel.

Chunky Tool

Removing coke from the bottom of a reactor can be a long and painstaking process. CEDA has developed a tool that to break up the large chunks of coke that have fallen to the bottom of the reactor. The chunky tool is an air-operated drill system that runs off 600 hp and 100 gal/min. The drill rotates and has an inward stroke of 8 ft. This combination breaks up large chunks of coke and effectively removes it, allowing the coke to drop into the chunky pit.
